We have been so blessed by Tom Dooley's The True Story of Noah's Ark.

Great way to play: 3 players, deal 5 cards to each player who is in the hand (one person is the judge, don't deal theirs), two players put in their best card, judge hand, then each player uses remaining 4 cards to make a silly sentence!

Focus is getting to know kids, enjoying each other, winning their hearts, it was a superb day!

After last night's Tuesday group, I am feeling better...I think I have a better idea what is going to work for us. A quasi-delight-driven-unschooling-eclectic homeschool. Academics are important but not the priority. I know what I need to be doing for the next few weeks. After the new year I will allow myself to re-evaluate but not before then.

Today was a horrible day.  I was winging it and the kids weren't responding well.

We started Discover 4 Yourself, Children's Bible Study Series: How to Study Your Bible, for Kids today.

I purchased the dvd and one book. The kids (10 and 7) really seem to like it! And thus starts a 6 week study on "How to Study the Bible"!! I wish the dvd came with a set of printable pages though, it is difficult for me to copy them.

We'll start each day with our Proverb of the Day and breakfast. Our first school subject will be this dvd each day into the new year.
